eSite—About

Use the About page to view the software release and database version numbers. This information comes from security and database version tables.

Numbers in the software version sequence represent the following:

Version

The first number in the naming convention represents the Version level.

Service Pack

The second number in the naming convention represents the Service Pack level.

System Update

The third number in the naming convention represents the System Update (formerly called hotfix) level.

Build Revision

The last number in the naming convention represents the Build Revision level.

Updating

All current eSite customers are expected to upgrade to a new version level within a reasonable time frame after a new release is certified for General Availability. Customers are encouraged to install Service Packs and System Updates as soon as possible after they become available. Upgrading within the specified timeframes is a prerequisite to problem resolution.
