Effect of Posting Rules on Invoices

Posting rules are used to define the handling of invoice data transfers to the general ledger.

Most businesses do not transfer invoice data to their general ledger; therefore, typically businesses do not set up posting rules for invoices; however, the ability to set up rules for invoices is built in to eFinancials.

Without posting rules for certain transaction types, the system cannot post transactions properly. Refer to Posting Rules by Transaction Type for specific information about posting rules.
